Volunteer fire and EMS Departments operate on minimal budgets and depend on state and federal funding to keep their doors open.

✽
It cost an estimated $9500 to outfit a firefighter to fight a house fire. If there are 10 firefighters in the department that is $95K just to outfit them for duty.

All money raised by the Kurt Keilhofer Foundation is distributed to fire and EMS departments through a safety grant. So your money goes directly to THEM.

✽
Our family and friends serving as volunteer first responders are imperative to our community safety and wellness. It is important we keep them safe!
-
✽
Because nobody’s family or friend should die in the line of duty. All first responders should return home after their service or shift.
