Kurt Keilhofer Foundation Grant Program

The annual Kurt Keilhofer Foundation grant program awards qualifying fire and EMS department’s located in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania with financial resources to purchase safety equipment. We understand that safety equipment for emergency services is unfortunately one of the first cuts in a departmental budget. Because first responders are very selfless individuals, they would rather hold off on ordering new Hi-Viz equipment, signs, cones, etc. instead of reducing supplies or services for the members of the community in their time of need. The foundation not only provides the financial resources but at times are also able to provide safety equipment at no or low-cost to departments as well. The foundation also is a leader in training, offering TIMS (Traffic Incident Management Safety) training, BLS CPR, First Aid, and other training resources and support.

The foundation grant program was started in the later months of 2023 and the first recipients were presented with their awards in spring of 2024. Our President, Mary (Kathy) Keilhofer, has committed to awarding no less than $500 to each qualified fire and EMS department in the spring of each grant period. We hope that our grant program continues to grow and over the next several years the foundation is able to secure donors and sponsors to allow for larger financial assistance as well as the ability to expand our assistance to a large portion of the country.

The Kurt Keilhofer Foundation wants all fire, EMS, tow, police, safety, highway maintenance, and public works departments to contact us with any questions you have or assistance you may need. We would like the opportunity for our group of safety driven individuals to help you get the services and/or supplies you may need.

We look forward to working with all of you during this new 2024-2025 grant period.

“Safety First!” Kurt W. Keilhofer
